Sinopsis

A stark, yet beautiful salt mine. Each summer, a group of elderly women converge on this ancient site, their weathered faces and stooped figures etched with the lines of time and toil. They are seasonal workers, their lives bound to the rhythm of the seasons. We witness their arduous labor, their bodies bending and lifting as they carry heavy bags of salt. Close-ups reveal the toll this relentless work takes on their bodies: calloused hands, sunbaked skin, and tired eyes. Despite their shared struggles, tensions sometimes arise among the women, revealing the complexities of human relationships, even in the most austere of settings. Their interactions, marked by both cooperation and conflict, offer a glimpse into the intricate dynamics of their community. As winter approaches, the mine falls silent, cloaked in a blanket of snow. The film ends with a shocking transition: from the bustling activities of the salt mine to the quiet solitude of the women’s homes and their staring gazes.
