This film is based on my personal experience with a rare neuropsychological condition called AWS (Alice in Wonderland syndrome), which I experienced as a child. Episodes of distorted perception of space, time, and body were sudden, elusive, and overwhelmingly intense – experiences that even today I find impossible to fully put into words. Although their recreation might seem unsettling, to me, those moments were pure wonder and fascination. Rather than offering a rational explanation, the film uses experimental visual and sound elements to evoke the elusive nature of this state.
